Ms. Karen Adele Brandenburg, age 52 of Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away on Monday morning at her residence.
She was the mother of Anthony Banning and wife, Brooklyn of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Gary Banning, Jr. and wife, Heather of Lexington, Kentucky, Andrew Banning of Jamesville, North Carolina, Tiffany Elam and husband, Jamie of Corbin, Kentucky and Melissa Banning of Gray, Kentucky. She was the sister of Bobby Brandenburg, Jonathan Brandenburg and wife, Beverly and Leslie Teresa Thomas and husband, Timothy all of Gray, Kentucky. Lisa Vanover and husband, Ron of Woodbine, Kentucky, Mary Payne and husband, Jim of London, Kentucky and Brenda Johnson and husband, Steven of LaFollette, Tennessee. She was also blessed with twelve grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Baptist faith and previously worked at the Root Beer Stand in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Ingram and Cleta Loise Kelly Brandenburg by five brothers, Johnny Ingram Brandenburg, Jr., Shelby Brandenburg, Billy Brandenburg, Jason Brandenburg and Timothy Brandenburg and by her fiancé, Kyle Vermillion.
Funeral services for Ms. Karen Adele Brandenburg will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Herschel Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Karen Adele Brandenburg will receive friends on Thursday at Laurel Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.
